UK SETTLEMENT VISA APPLICATION: SOURCES OF THIRD PARTY SUPPORT

UK SETTLEMENT VISA APPLICATION: SOURCES OF THIRD PARTY SUPPORT

Meeting the financial requirements as part of the Immigration rules and which was set by the Home Office is quite tricky especially if the sources of income of the sponsor are complicated to compute or evidence. So many families are separated because of this reason alone.

A lot of applicants and their sponsors are asking if a third party sponsorship is allowed for the settlement visa (spouse) application. You can find the answer here:

NOTE: Promises of a Third Party Support will NOT be accepted.

  1. Payments from a former partner of the applicant for the maintenance of the applicant or any children of the applicant and the former partner, and payments from a former partner of the applicant’s partner for the maintenance of that partner;
  2. Income from a dependent child who has turned 18, remains in the same UK household as the applicant and continues to be counted towards the financial requirement under Appendix FM;
  3. Gift of cash savings (whose source must be declared); provided that the cash savings have been held by the person or persons for at least 6 months prior to the date of application and are under their control; and
  4. a maintenance grant or stipend associated with undergraduate study or postgraduate study or research.
