Finally, I was able to prove to myself that I would be able to conquer my fear of something, just like learning how to drive in a foreign country, if I believed in myself and learned how to stick to the LEFT side of the road. 🤣🤣🤣
After waiting for over a year for a testing date (pandemic halted everything), I was finally able to book it four months ago. I was so apprehensive and was highly strung as a kite. The normal jitters you get when you’re in a situation where there’s a lot riding on it. There was also this mental thingamajig in me that I should never fail anything because I rarely failed the tests I took before and I didn’t want this driving test to be one of those very, very seldom fail-occurrence. (Talking about high expectations of myself! 🤣🤣🤣)
Yet again, I’ve shown my true mettle. I just need now to start driving and really learn the ropes of driving here in the UK. I bet you, I am going to have the P plate stuck onto the bonnet, the boor, the roof, the sides of my car to emphasise the fact that I am really a new driver and other drivers should at least be a bit forgiving. 😂😅
