My CFO-Related Experience

I had my actual CFO seminar 4 days after I received my passport with my visa vignette. Before this though, I already initially scheduled an appointment with the agency but had decided to cancel and reschedule it because my husband and I wanted me to be home the soonest possible time.

I was in a dilemma whether to cancel it or not because I had no idea how to do it. Amazingly, a good friend told me to just book another one because the CFO system wouldn’t detect same-name-application-on-different-dates though you have to use a different email address. So I tried and viola! I was able to. I don’t really recommend you doing it!🥴🥴🥴 (I wasn’t so proud of what I did coz it meant that I just took another slot which could have been filled in by another who also needed to attend the counselling!)

Anyway, I just wanna add that you MUST arrive at the agency’s office at least 30 minutes before the seminar starts. Boy did they have so many forms to fill in for you! Back to back pages with almost same information that need to be filled in! You need to know your husband’s mother’s name, all his basic but important details like birthday, address, phone number, his work details, etc.

By the power of all the deities, I was able to finish all the paperwork in about 30 minutes!🤣🤣🤣 They then took my “biometric” by means of taking my photo and fingerprint. The counselling itself took about an hour and a half while the interview took about 2 minutes, and the waiting for the CFO certificate and sticker releasing was about an hour. It so happened there were so many who attended the counselling (all bound for different countries not only the UK) that very day.

During the interview, I was never asked for any supporting documents except for my passport. I brought with me though 3 pages with 4 photos in each page, marriage certificate, my birth certificate, my husband’s divorce decree, the photocopy of his passport’s biometric page, his birth certificate.

I MUST remind you again that never be LATE for the appointment because if you are, you’ll never get the chance to join the seminar even if you’re only late for a few minutes and got your flight scheduled on that very day, they don’t care!
