Language Barriers Starting To Unfold

The Philippines, as we all know, is using the American version of English. And as we are all aware of, American English is well way different from that of British English.

Today, I learned from my husband the following words and I kinda quickly translated them all to Filipino words then my very own silly translation, which basically made me giggle.

Here are the words as depicted in the accompanying photos:

1) Fishmonger – in Tagalog, tindera ng isda – in my head, tsismosa 😂😂😂

2) Butcher – in Tagalog, tagakatay ng baka o baboy – in my head, karnero 😂😂😂

3) (Green) Grocer – in Tagalog, tindera ng gulay – in my head, delata 🤣🤣🤣

Ayoko na! I know I am being silly but I can’t help but pen this thingy to share. It’s corny and I apologize! 🤣🤣🤣
